As part of the multi-year collaboration of the English National Opera (ENO), bringing all four epics of 'Ring Cycle' from Wagner to the stage, 'The Rhinegold' is here at the London Coliseum.

Wagner's 'Ring Cycle' is known all over the world for its fantastical element and that has been reciprocated in this opera by the English National Opera (ENO).

After the success of 'The Valkyrie' in 2021, Olivier Award-winning director, Richard Jones, bring this production of 'The Rhinegold' by the English National Opera (ENO) to the London Coliseum. There will also be a reprise of 'The Valkyrie', and then new productions of 'Twilight Of The Gods' (2025) and 'Siegfried' (2024) as part of 'Ring Cycle'.

'The Rhinegold' from 'Ring Cycle' has been co-produced by the Metropolitan Opera.

What is 'The Rhinegold' about?

After the prophesied ring of the Rhine is forged, chaos begins as giants, deities, dwarfs, and nymphs fight and struggle as the fate of the nine worlds is hung in balance. This opera is part of Wagner's 'Ring Cycle'.

Richard Jones is the director of the opera. Martyn Brabbins, the ENO Music Director, wields Wagner's magical score as the conductor of the ENO Orchestra. English language translation is done by John Deathridge. Co-production is by the Metropolitan Opera.

The production designer is Stewart Laing, while Adam Silverman is the lighting designer. Choreography is by Sarah Fahie. The video designer is Akhila Krishnan, with Sarah Fahie as the movement director.

There will be a reprise of 'The Valkyrie', and then new productions of 'Twilight Of The Gods' (2025) and 'Siegfried' (2024).
