Grey whales lack a dorsal fin, but there is a row of small humps on the back. Their food includes benthic crustaceans.

These grey mammals are also known as devil whales due to their fighting behavior and fierce nature. The common name of a grey whale is obtained from the white molting and grey patches on its dark skin.
