The marine or aquatic world of species is quite interesting for many kids, and this free printable gray whale coloring pages is a great way to learn about their looks and features. Gray whales, also called whalebone whales, are ocean organisms that migrate from breeding to feeding grounds every year.

These are the descendants of filter-feeding whales that appeared over 30 million years ago. The standard size of this fish is about 15 meters and a weight of up to 45 tonnes. There are two grooves on their throats.

Grey whales lack a dorsal fin, but there is a row of small humps on the back. Their food includes benthic crustaceans.

These grey mammals are also known as devil whales due to their fighting behavior and fierce nature. The common name of a grey whale is obtained from the white molting and grey patches on its dark skin.

These fish are distributed in the eastern north pacific and western north pacific populations. The average life span of grey whales is 55 to 70 years. Did you know?
