A Springerdoodle, one of the designer dogs, is a mix between a purebred English Springer Spaniel and a purebred Poodle. This dog belongs to the family Canidae.

They are known to have originated in Germany and there they were known as Pudelhund. This means splashing water.

This dog is also popular in France and they were referred to as 'Chien canard or Caniche' because of their skills. This dog is one of the most popular of the 44 different types of poodle mixes. The features and traits of this dog highly depend on the parent breeds and no two puppies are the same.

The coat or hair density, texture, and style are dependent on parent breeds and could be straight, wavy, or curly. This Sproodle can come in black, brown, cream, and white colors.

A Springerdoodle puppy should be bought or adopted from a good quality breeder as breeders play an important role. Good breeders make high-quality breeds.

The Springerdoodle breeds have a gentle and loyal temperament and are eager to please and entertain their owners. This breed is playful and funny and enjoys the company of families. These are mellow and calm by nature.

Having your own Springerdoodle

These designer dogs are quite common as pets as they make a good family pet. This breed is characterized by their energy, intelligence and they also have a need to be emotionally close to humans.  These dog breeds can averagely cost around $600-$1800.

The food requirements are similar to other breeds and a pup or Springerdoodle puppies should be fed specially formulated puppy food three to four times a day and adults should be given one and a half or two and a half cups of dry kibble.

Your dog's coat will depend on its parents and it could be wavy, curly, or straight. Daily brushing of hair or coat is recommended which leads to lesser skin problems and the dog should be clipped every six months.

Teeth should be brushed once every day and they do not need a bath regularly but their ears should be checked regularly for dirt and ear infections.

This breed is smart and thus, is easy to train and does not require many repetitions, and good with children. This breed needs a good amount of exercise so a long walk and visits to the dog park are a must where the pup or puppies and adults get their full exercise and do activities like chasing the ball.
