These Avengers facts will amuse you!

The Avengers is a fictional superhero team set in the Marvel universe created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Marvel's first foray into the Marvel Cinematic Universe began with the release of 'Iron Man' in 2008. 'Iron Man' was followed by individual movies on heroes like 'Captain America' and 'Thor' before the culmination of the story in 'The Avengers' movie released in 2012.

Marvel created the ultimate universe of superheroes with the introduction of several comic book heroes appearing on the big screen. The 2012 release of 'The Avengers' garnered rave reviews and set up the expansion of the MCU to give something to the generation that grew up reading comic books.

Since then, Marvel has added major characters such as Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Black Panther to their superhero lineup.

With the ending of the Thanos story arc, the Marvel world is shifting toward a new direction that will hopefully be as amazing as the previous installations in the series.

Avengers Endgame Facts

'Avengers: Endgame' brought a curtain call to the amazing Avengers story arc that lasted well over a decade since the introduction of Tony Stark as Iron Man in 2008. These 'Avengers Endgame' facts are sure to fascinate you:

  • The astonishing fight scene in the 'Avengers: Endgame' movie was one of the major parts of the story as numerous Marvel heroes joined the fight against Thanos after being brought back to life.
  • This fight scene was birthed by 1,400 visual effect artists, who worked hard to create the sequence in a mere 16 weeks!
  • The animators working on the scene pulled off such an amazing feat in a short period and gave us probably the best scene in the entire rundown of the Thanos story arc.
  • Robert Downey Jr was the only actor to be provided with the entire script of the 'Infinity War' and 'Endgame' movies. Marvel opted for secrecy, and the movie scripts each actor got were of their roles, with most of the story being kept a secret by the brass.
  • When Marvel released the first trailer of the movie, the title 'Endgame' given to the movie was not included in the first teaser. The title just read 'Marvel Studio's Avengers - Official Trailer'. This was done to surprise fans with the title 'Endgame' at the end of the teaser trailer.
  • Mark Ruffalo, who plays The Hulk, and Paul Rudd, who plays Ant-Man, came together for the first time on the big screen in 'Avengers: Endgame'.
  • 'Infinity War' was a massive collaboration of several superheroes. As expected, by the end of the shooting, the cast of the movie was dead tired, but the core cast had to start filming for 'Avengers: Endgame' soon after 'Infinity War' wrapped production.
  • 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Endgame' became the first Hollywood movie series to have been shot in an open-matte aspect ratio of 1.9:1 entirely on digital IMAX Cameras.

  • 'Endgame' was Chadwick Boseman's last appearance as the Black Panther, as the actor died in 2020 from colon cancer. He passed away shortly after recording his voice-over for season one of 'What If...?'
  • It took 11 days for 'Endgame' to hit the $2 billion mark at the box office! This was twice the amount 'Avengers: Infinity War' made in 11 days.
