Geoffrey Royce Rojas, also known by the name Prince Royce, is an American singer who is recognized worldwide for breaking into the Latin pop mainstream in 2010.

In 2010, he released his early debut studio album under his own name and reached the height of success in the coming years. Prince Royce was born in the Bronx, New York City, and wanted to be a singer from an early age.

Prince Royce began his music career when he was only 15 years old, along with his friend and partner. Prince Royce was recognized when he came into contact with Sergio George and Andres Hidalgo, who later recorded the songs with him.

Prince Royce's first singles, in which he was featured, were successful and became so popular that they were at number one on the US Billboard Latin Albums. In 2012, he released his album 'Phase II' and his third album 'Soy el Mismo' in 2013.

Prince Royce has received many awards and has been nominated for many awards events, which led him to climb the ladder of success and become one of the most talented singers in America.

He has also received a gold disc from Sony Music Latin. Prince Royce appeared in the TV show 'East Los High'.

The Early Life Of Prince Royce

Geoffrey Royce Rojas, born on May 11, 1989, in the Bronx, and worked as a cab driver at the start of his career.

Prince Royce and his mother worked very hard to live up to their livelihood. He studied at the Bronx Academy of Letters school. Prince Royce's mother worked in a beauty salon and had four children.

Among them, Royce was the second child and helped his mother by working as a taxi driver. Prince Royce's infatuation and love for bachata music came from his parents' origins.

Prince Royce's parents belonged to the Dominican Republic, and therefore his inclination was more towards the bachata version. At the young age of 15 years, he started participating in talent shows and began writing poetry. His passion for writing poetry became a turning point in elementary school and he became a songwriter.

The Career Of Prince Royce

Prince Royce started his career when he was 15 years old, and the turning point came when he met Sergio George and Andres Hidalgo, who signed him to record the music videos for Top Stop Music.

In March 2010, Prince Royce was a superhit and the album was at the top of the US Billboard tropical albums chart. This transformed the life of the New York lead single music star in a very short time period. The US Latin albums received many awards and were also ranked at the top with a number one ranking.

In April 2012, the second studio album 'Phase II' was released with many songs, from bachata to mariachi. The lead singles by Prince Royce included 'Las Cosas Pequeñas', 'Te Me Vas', and 'Incondicional'.

It was also one of the top Billboard tropical albums. Prince Royce signed his third studio album which was a record deal, 'Soy el Mismo', with Sony Music Entertainment.

On October 8, 2013, Prince Royce's single featuring 'Darte un Beso' and 'Te Robare' also stood at the top with a rank of one on the US billboard tropical album. Prince Royce released the song 'My Angel' from the popular American movie 'Furious 7', which was released in 2015.

Prince Royce's contribution to the song was widely recognized and successful commercially, with the eighth-highest scoring.

The studio album 'Double Vision' which was his fourth album, was also released in the same year. Prince Royce loved to enjoy different music styles, along with Latin music, and also did English songs, along with Snoop Dog and Jennifer Lopez, 'Stuck on a Feeling', and 'Back it Up'.

Pitbull was also featured with Jennifer Lopez. Prince Royce also appeared in the TV shows 'The Passion' and 'La Voz Kids'.

Prince Royce made an appearance in 'East Los High', a Hulu Network TV series that aired in 2016, and Carlos Portugal directed the show. He played the role of Saint Peter in 'The Passion'.

'Que Cosas Tiene el Amor', along with Anthony Santos, was also a hit of 2015. The studio album 'Five' by Sony Music Latin was released on February 24, 2017. Around 19,000 units were sold within the first week of its release.

Prince Royce has won 75 awards and has been nominated for 153 award events, and this is one of his biggest achievements.

Prince Royce won the Premios Lo Nuestro award for 'Tropical Male Artist of the Year' in 2011 and many more.

He has also won Billboard Latin Music Awards such as 'Latin Artist of the Year, New' in 2011, 'Tropical Airplay Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2011, 'Tropical Albums Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2011, 'Tropical Album of the Year' in 2011, 'Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year' in 2012, 'Tropical Song Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2012, 'Tropical Album Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2012, 'Tropical Song of the Year' for 'Corazon sin Cara' (2012), 'Album of the Year' in 2012, 'Tropical Album of the Year' in 2012, 'Albums Artist of the Year, Male' 2013, 'Tropical Albums Artist of the Year' in 2013, 'Tropical Song of the Year' for 'Incondicional' in 2013, 'Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male' in 2014, 'Latin Pop Songs Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2014, 'Tropical Songs Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2014, 'Streaming Song of the Year' for 'Darte un beso' in 2014, and 'Tropical Songs Artist of the Year, Solo' in 2017.

The Legacy Of Prince Royce

Prince Royce's net worth is $14 million and he gained worldwide recognition with the singles 'Stand by Me' and 'Corazon Sin Cara' which are one of his first songs.

Since 2011, Prince Royce has been married to Emeraude Toubia and they have plans of having kids. He is currently 32 years old.

Marc Anthony, Jay-Z, Usher, and Aventura inspired and influenced American singer Prince Royce. He even mentioned artists like Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, and Ricky Martin, who influenced American culture along with Latin music.

In one of his interviews, Prince Royce said that when he hears about people being influenced by him and his music, it makes him proud.

At the same time, he acknowledges the above music artists who have encouraged me to follow in their footsteps. He also said that the music should be such that it leaves an impression and allows people to remember them for their entire lives.
