Canada is a country located in Northern America and is by land area the second largest in the world, which has directly resulted in it having a varied taste and cuisine.

Canada's cuisine has been largely shaped by the indigenous people of the country, the settlers such as the French, and the migrants who entered the country during the 19th and 20th century. Canada is also famous for having the longest coastline and longest international border in the world.

Each region of Canada has some dishes of its own, one of the earliest cuisines of Canada is known as indigenous food.

These regions give rise to some ingredients which can be found only in that particular region, which leads to these dishes getting a unique taste. Some of the earliest cuisines in Canada include the likes French, British and Scottish.
