The Tylocephale, also known as Tylocephale gilmorei is known to have inhabited present-day Asia and Tylocephale fossil remains have been found in the Khulsan region of the Barun Goyot Formation in Mongolia. The name means 'swollen head'. This dinosaur was known to live in woodlands. The Tylocephale lived in the Late Cretaceous period and lived from 83.6 million years ago to 72.1 million years ago. Reproduction of dinosaurs used to take place sexually where the females used to lay eggs after the male had deposited sperm inside their bodies. The eggs were fertilized and had developing embryos.

There is no information about the physical appearance of this pachycephalosaur as the fossil only contained a fragmentary skull including the jawbone (mandible). The average Tylocephale size was estimated to be around 6.6 ft (200 cm) in length. This pachycephalosaur had the tallest dome among the known pachycephalosaurs. The diet of this dinosaur is considered to be herbivorous, meaning it might have consumed plant and plant-based material.

It is known to be closely related to Prenocephale. Teresa Maryanska and Osmolska were known to describe the type species of this dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period. Some believe these creatures evolved in Asia and migrated to North America.

It is very fascinating to explore this dinosaur and if you want, read about other dinosaurs like Albertadromeus and Hesperosaurus too.
