Zuolong facts are great for kids.

Zuolong is a basal coelurosaur dinosaur that was discovered from the Shishugou Formation present in what is now the People's Republic of China. It's assumed that partial bones and skull fragments of a juvenile animal were found in 2001.

The generic name or genus was defined in 2010 in honor of General Zuo Zongtang, while the species name paid homage to Hilmar Sallee who helped to finance the research. Further research on the skull and bones suggest it lived around 161.2 to 155.2 million years ago.
