The 103rd floor is a restricted space. It has a low railing through which you can see the city skylines.

The 103rd floor is not accessible to the general public. Only celebrities and well-known people are allowed to visit.

Recently, Taylor Swift has been spotted here in 2014. The entire experience is something only one can dream of.

Celebrities are known to have thrown parties here, but there is little evidence of this because of its privacy and inaccessibility to the public. The 103rd floor is not a fully constructed floor and offers an observatory, so there would need to be more safety measures implemented if it was open to the public and became more crowded.

Mysterious Things About The 103rd Floor Of The Empire State Building

There are some unknown mysteries pertaining to the Empire State Building that visitors may find interesting.

In the '30s, there was an airship port on the top of it. They were considered the next big thing in air travel.

Some say that an extra floor was added to compete with Chrysler Building. It has a very small ledge and can be very dangerous for someone who does not have a stomach for heights.

The railing is just knee-high and extremely unsafe for kids or pets, particularly with the strong wind that regularly blows that high up. Though there might be safety harnesses below, the 103rd floor doesn't offer as much safety so visitors may find it very scary to go up and stand near the edge.

The floor below it, the 102 floor, is also an observatory. The Empire State Building's view on this level for visitors is behind a glass window so offers much more safety, particularly for kids, and is accessed through a series of elevators.

On a corner of the 102nd floor, there is a small stairway, which leads to the 103rd floor. There is a mooring mast above the building.
