If you are a St Louis Cardinals fan, you know how important the New Busch Stadium has been for the team.

Busch Stadium is also called the New Busch Stadium or Busch Stadium III. It opened on April 4, 2006, with an exhibition game between Memphis Redbirds and Springfield Cardinals.

The first game in the official major league circuit in the new stadium was against Milwaukee Brewers. St Louis Cardinals defeated Brewers in the first game 6-4.

Mark Mulder was the winning pitcher, while Albert Pujols hit a home run. Busch Stadium is the third one in St Louis with the same name as Sportsman's Park was renamed Busch Stadium in 1953. It closed in 1966.
