Squirrels are cute and interesting animals. Kids will have a fun time with this free printable cute squirrel coloring pages resource. Squirrels belong to the family of medium and small size rodents.

These furry animals are found everywhere across the world. However, they are indigenous to Eurasia, America, Africa and Australia.

They have bushy, long tails with a slender body structure and huge eyes. Their hind limbs are longer than the forelimbs, which allow them to rotate and descend from the tree to grab food. They have sturdy claws for climbing trees.

Excluding the high polar region, they adapt and live in all environments from tropical rainforest to desert. They are cute little harmless herbivores which are also ideal as a pet. They feed on seeds, nuts, insects, and small vertebrates.

For a tree dwindling species like squirrels, they have the strongest vision, which is represented by their large eyes. Their long bushy tail helps them to cool off during hot weather and also helps them in balancing while jumping on trees.
