These free printable Hawaiian flower turtle coloring pages are a great way for kids to know about the Hawaiian turtles and their behaviour. Hawaiian turtles are native to Hawaii. They migrate long distances in the landscape from feeding ground to beaches. The adult Hawaiian turtle has lagoons feeding on a variety of seagrasses. They also keep the seagrass healthy by biting off the tip of the grass. Female turtles crawl out of the beach to dig nests and lay eggs at night. When hatchlings emerge, they crawl in the water. The turtles, if they reach maturity, live up to eighty years. They are protected species. Hence, it is illegal to harm, collect or kill them. Pollution and human activity have harmed the turtle population. Many of them die when caught in the fishnet. Adding to the real estate development causes major habitat loss by eliminating nesting beaches. Turtles, when drawn as a sketch, resemble a flower. Humans have taken the sketch creatively and have started tattooing the flower turtle on their body. They are cute, slow, and calm sea creatures, which are also raised as pets by some people.
