We often find squirrels when we visit a park or garden. Apart from being all cute and adorable, these little creatures have some interesting characteristics as well.

Here, we introduce you to one such happy squirrel. Color him in order to befriend him. Squirrel is a type of small-sized rodent that belongs to the Sciuridae family and Rodentia order.

They are predominantly found in various parts of America, Africa, Australia, Europe and Asia. They usually weigh somewhere between 0.42-0.91 oz (12-26 gm).

They have an average length of 3.9-5.5 in (10-14 cm). However, these measurements might differ with respect to the various species of a squirrel.

They generally live for an approximate of 15-18 years. Some common species of squirrels include Flying squirrel, Ground squirrel, Indian giant squirrel, Eastern gray squirrel, Fox squirrel, Tree squirrel, American red squirrel and Siberian flying squirrel.
