These Marvel facts will have eyebrows in the air; the Marvel Universe can be a strange place...
1.Agent Phil Coulson only appeared in the first Thor movie because Samuel L. Jackson was busy and was never intended to be a recurring character.
2.In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Cap has a list of things he wants to catch up on. Different items appear on the list depending on where you watch the movie!
3.In Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch plays the evil villain Dormammu. Even more strange, Cumberbatch didn't do the voice for the character and no voice actor is listed for the voice of Dormammu; it still remains a mystery who did it!
4.Tom Holland's Instagram and casual vlogging inspired the beginning of Spiderman: Homecoming.
5.Just like this list, spoilers for movies sometimes have to happen. However, Tom Holland had a problem with accidentally leaking spoilers. For Infinity War, he received a script with only his lines visible!
6.Fury's Big Week: Nick Fury is a busy person at the best of times, but in the Marvel world Thor, Iron Man 2 AND The Incredible Hulk happened in the same week!
7.J.A.R.V.I.S stands for 'Just A Rather Very Intelligent System'.
8.Tom Holland found out he got the role of Spider-Man through an Instagram post.
9.The word "Zombies" was trademarked by Marvel Studios in 1973.
10.There are two Infinity Gauntlets in the Marvel universe, one is seen in Odin's treasure room for the right hand. The left one, Thanos is after.
11.When Captain America's best friend, Bucky Barns, was brainwashed he was in charge of training trained Romanoff to be an assassin. Bucky taught her the skills she would eventually need to become Black Widow.

13.The end credit scene of the Avengers movie was added much later than the filming so the cast had already started other projects. Chris Evans had grown a beard for a different role so he wore a prosthetic jaw.
14.Real military police were extras in the attack on New York scene in Avengers. There were about 25 of them there.
15.The events in Infinity war take place over just two days.
16.Originally, in the movie Infinity War, Captain America was only written in after 2 hours. When the screenwriters realised, they had to go back and write him in!

17.The line "He's a friend from work" from Thor: Ragnarok caused a major stir on social media, enough to grant it iconic status in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was suggested to Chris Hemsworth between takes by a child visiting the set.
18.Robert Downing Jr hid food around the sets of almost every marvel movie so he could snack during filming. If you see Iron Man snacking in the movie, it probably wasn't scripted.
19.In Iron Man 2, Nick Fury refers to the discovery of Thor’s hammer when he says "We've got bigger problems to worry about in the South West". This was a really busy week for Fury!
20.For the movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, a script was written out with Groot's language (consisting of just "I am groot" and the occasional "We are groot") translated into English.
21.Screenwriters for Infinity War didn't know about the Wakanda war chants because Black Panther was being filmed at the same time as Infinity War. When the Black Panther cast flew over to film, the actors started doing it on set so it was written into Infinity War.

22.Marvel comics describe a villain who is literally a brick wall. Named 'The Wall', this villain made an appearance in the Spider- Man comics.
23.Black Widow is well over 70 years old in the comics. She looks youthful due to a similar serum and process as used by Captain America.
24.Kamala Khan is a Pakistani teenager who becomes Ms Marvel. She is the first Marvel superhero that is a Pakistani girl!
25.Elvis Presley was the inspiration for Captain Marvel Jr's haircut.
26.'Damage Control' are a team responsible for fixing buildings after chaos left behind the Avengers' battles against evil.
27.In 2009 Marvel Comics produced a comic in which characters are animals corresponding to the real avengers including Throg; Thor as a frog.
28.Peter Porker is a Spider-pig from a comic first published in 1983. Peter Porker existed before Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse.
Big Budget Movies With Big Budget Facts
We have found some jaw-dropping facts about money in the marvel universe.
29.Terrance Howard was paid more than Robert Downey Jr for the playing James Rhodes in the first Iron Man because he was a more prolific actor. Robert Downey Jr made $2.5 million dollars from Iron Man whereas Terrance Howard made between $3.5- $4.5 million dollars.
30.We get the first glimpse at the existence of Wakanda in the second Iron Man movie when it appears on a map of S.H.E.I.L.D.
31.Although Iron Man is a billionaire, King T'Challa is worth over 5 times more than Tony Stark and which makes Black Panther the richest avenger.

Marvel Facts: The Crossovers
Love or hate marvel, you can't deny they put work into their movies. Here are some marvel facts about the clever crossovers you can see in the movies:
32.Marvel Studios (owned by Disney) produces the Marvel movies, which created the Marvel Cinematic Universe. X-men were owned by 20th Century Fox who created the X-men movies. However, Disney recently acquired Fox, so fingers crossed for a Black Panther/Wolverine showdown.
33.In The Avengers, a farmer asks Bruce Banner "Are you an alien?", a reasonable enough question when a giant green monster falls from the sky. The line is a nod to Alien because the farmer (played by Harry Dean Stanton) played a member of the crew in the first Alien movie!
34.In Captain America: The First Avenger, Red Skull says "the Fuhrer is too busy digging for trinkets in the desert.” This is a reference to a scene in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of The Lost Ark when Nazi's dig up the Ark of The Covenant.
35.Nick Fury's grave has the biblical passage: Ezekial 25:17. It's a tribute to Samuel L. Jackson's character in the movie Pulp Fiction.
36.Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) and Marisa Tomei (Aunt May) dated years ago. He recommended her for the role as Aunt May.
37.To emulate the immortalised scene in Star Wars where Luke Skywalker loses his right hand, Marvel creators made sure at least one limb was lost or maimed in every movie of Phase 2.
38.Darth Vader was inspired by marvel character Doctor Doom.
39.Amalgam comic books combined a Marvel superhero with a DC one. For example Batman and Wolverine as Dark Claw.
40.The Men In Black movies have been owned by Marvel since 1994.
