'What Dreams May Come' book by Richard Matheson was further adapted into a movie under the same name, directed by Vincent Ward.

The title was derived from the Shakespearean phrase from Hamlet, 'To be, or not to be...'It is a fantasy film based on the surrealistic life of the protagonist Chris Nielsen who travels through hell in order to save his wife.
