'Good Omens' is a fantasy novel written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
World Fantasy Awards considered the nomination of the novel 'Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch'. The novel was released in 1990 in the fantasy, horror, and comedy genre.
An angel-Aziphrale and a demon-Crowley from heaven and hell become accustomed and comfortable with humans. Realizing that Apocalypse will arrive and an antichrist would trigger it, they find ways to locate the antichrist. An 11-year-old boy who grows up in Lower Tadfield is the antichrist and doesn't know about his powers. Will the 11-year-old be able to initiate the Apocalypse? How does he come to know about it? Will he stop it? The rest of the story continues.
Interesting plot and a thin storyline inspired authors to take this novel to a TV series. In 2017, Michael Sheen and David Tennant were roped in to be cast as Aziphrale and Crowley respectively. 'Good Omens' show was released on Amazon Prime Video on 31 May 2019. Later, there were many speculations about a new sequel to the show, yet to be announced.
