Kidadl provides inspiration to entertain and educate your children. We recognise that not all activities and ideas are appropriate and suitable for all children and families or in all circumstances. Our recommended activities are based on age but these are a guide. We recommend that these ideas are used as inspiration, that ideas are undertaken with appropriate adult supervision, and that each adult uses their own discretion and knowledge of their children to consider the safety and suitability.

Across the United States, National Carpe Diem Day is celebrated.
This day is celebrated by the people of the USA formally.
National Carpe Diem Day was founded in 2020 by Yvette Francino's family to honor her friend Craig Dunham's life motto of living each day to the fullest.
Yvette Francino decided to encourage others after being motivated by Craig's life to enjoy life to the fullest, especially in the face of adversity.
Yvette Francino's relatives and friends founded Carpe Diem Day. She ignites love and innovation in the good friend she meets.
During the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Yvette Francino raised almost $12,000 through participation in 12 such challenges for the initiative and many began to link Yvette Francino with this term. Craig Dunham, a very old friend of hers, was diagnosed with ALS in 2008 and passed away in 2010, was an inspiration to Yvette.
Founded by Yvette Francino, Carpe Diem Day probably has its roots set in the ancient epic poem of 'The Epic of Gilgamesh'. Listed below are the timeline events.
The day is commemorated to remind individuals that no matter what life throws at them, they should never quit and always seize the day. Many people take the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge on this day to create awareness of nerve disease. In addition to raising money for ALS research, you can share stories from the day and your ideas through social media.
You can also remember the day by reciting poetry by Billy Keane's which describes the present as a gift to be enjoyed and not worry about the future.
On this day create a bucket list, this wish list can contain both minor and major items, such as going skydiving or being a charity cook. Typically, the bucket list will include a mix of all types of tasks, some of which may be completed in the spur of the moment and others may necessitate some planning.
On this day, take deep breaths. Deep breathing techniques, such as inhalation and exhalation for only a few counts each, can show that life is to be experienced at the moment. National Carpe Diem Day doesn't need to be complicated, so take the opportunity to do something different.
It aims to promote the idea of seizing the day.
Carpe Diem means to 'Seize the day'. The phrase's short form is CD, which also honors Craig Dunham.
No, it is not. The Marines saying is 'Semper Fidelis', meaning always loyal.
The day teaches every moment of life should be savored in the present.
This day celebrates the idea of enjoying our lives, making it an important day.
