Kidadl provides inspiration to entertain and educate your children. We recognise that not all activities and ideas are appropriate and suitable for all children and families or in all circumstances. Our recommended activities are based on age but these are a guide. We recommend that these ideas are used as inspiration, that ideas are undertaken with appropriate adult supervision, and that each adult uses their own discretion and knowledge of their children to consider the safety and suitability.
Kidadl cannot accept liability for the execution of these ideas, and parental supervision is advised at all times, as safety is paramount. Anyone using the information provided by Kidadl does so at their own risk and we can not accept liability if things go wrong.
People all around the world celebrate World Photography Day.
Any photography enthusiast may celebrate World Photography Day. Yet, this day is extra special for photojournalists, wildlife photographers, and camera lovers.
World Photography Day was first started in 1839 in France.
There is no particular person who started this day. But remember Louis Daguerre? Daguerre is called the 'Father Of Photography.' He invented the eponymous daguerreotype process of photography.
In 1826, Joseph-Nicéphore Niépce took the first-ever recorded picture. This led to the celebration of the history of World Photography Day. This picture is stored in the permanent collection at the University of Texas-Austin. Now we can dive further into the history of world photography day.
The most common tradition of this day is to capture images. These images highlight the imagination of the photographer. The world photography organization conducts an open contest on August 19 every year. The contest is a medium to celebrate one of the finest art forms in the world.
The best way to celebrate World Photography Day is to capture an image close to our hearts. We can take photos of the person we love the most to store them as memory. We can help our kids develop their photographic skills. We can allow them to take photographs of nature.
Photographer David Bailey is a classic inspiration for fashion photography enthusiasts. Wildlife photography enthusiasts should venture into nature to take marvelous photos. Again, Ansel Adams is an inspiration for landscape photography enthusiasts.
A photographer displays his/her creativity and passion in photography on this day.
We celebrate photography day by capturing images with our digital or film cameras.
Joseph-Nicéphore Niépce is the inventor of photography.
On World Photography Day, photographers showcase their craft by displaying pictures. But on national camera day, people showcase their collection of cameras.
Photographs mean memories. As Ed Sheeran said, 'We Keep This Love In A Photograph.' To celebrate passing moments, World Photography Day emotionally affects people.
There are eight different types of photography. They are:
Date | Day |
---|---|
August 19, 2020 | Wednesday |
August 19, 2021 | Thursday |
August 19, 2022 | Friday |
August 19, 2023 | Saturday |
