Sacrewell Farm & Country Centre

Explore the countryside and meet some amazing animal friends on Sacrewell Farm. There are so many things to do here including meeting newborn chicks in the hatchery, taking a tractor tour and exploring the eighteenth-century watermill.
With lots of wide open spaces and plenty of activities to keep busy, this is a perfect location to visit with the children for some socially distanced fun!

Stamford Market

One of the top things to do with kids in Stamford is to visit the farmers' markets. The main market is held every Friday with approximately 90 traders. Interact with the community and support local businesses and farmers by bringing the kids on a day out to the market.
COVID-19 Precautions: There is a lower number of traders and there are barriers in place to ensure social distancing protocol.
Food: Many of the stalls at the market will be selling food.

Burghley House & Garden of Surprises

This regal location in Stamford is a great place to visit for parents and children alike. This is one of the oldest surviving Elizabethan estates and features attractions like beautiful architecture, a vast collection of fine art and the gorgeous Garden of Surprises.
The garden has a sculpture trail and is filled with many colourful plants that will capture the attention of any young child.
COVID-19 Precautions: The Burghley House team asks for any visitors to wear a mask for the duration of their time indoors.
Food: The Orangery Restaurant, located inside the house, will be open for visitors as well as The Garden Shed, located outdoors, which will be serving takeaway food and drink.

Grimsthorpe Castle Park

Get a taste of the past while roaming around this historic venue. Surrounded by rolling fields, stunning woodland and other beautiful natural attractions, the Grimsthorpe Castle is as stunning as you'd expect a medieval royal home to be.
With connections to King Henry VIII, King George IV and a few more majestic names, there is a lot of interesting things to be learned here.

Church of St. Mary

There are also many popular hands-on workshops that take place here, From learning to draw to talks from local artists, there is always something fun going on at this location.

Twinlakes Park

With themed attractions such as the medieval Excalibur Adventure Zone with roller coasters and soft play for toddlers, to the falconry with real-life birds of prey and handling sessions, there are so many things to do in this popular place to visit.
COVID-19 Precautions: Please book your tickets online and if you are planning to enjoy the water park, Twinlakes Park asks that you book a time slot at least one hour in advance upon your arrival.
