What is Broken Wings about?

Broken Wings The Musical begins when an aging Kahlil Gibran tells a fictional story from the cold studio of Gibran in New York City, 1923. Combining poetry with music, Gibran transports viewers back 20 years into the past and across continents to Beirut.

After living for five years in America, a young Kahlil Gibran of 18 years old goes back to the Middle East. Gibran went back to the Middle East to finish his studies and discover the true story about his heritage.

Unintentionally, he fell in love at first sight with Selma Karamy, despite not wanting to.

Selma Karamy is the daughter of Farris Karamy, a respected businessman and a family friend. Selma, however, soon gets married to Bishop Bulos Galib's nephew, Mansour Bey Galib.

He just wants the family fortune of the Karamy's for himself. Selma and Gibran have to fight for their love against all rules, expectations, and traditions that society lays out for them.

Enjoy Gibran's music and poetry that will pull you into the story of the life of the well-known poet. The production of this musical adaptation of Gibran's poetry book tells a story where happiness is thrown off course, and there are obstacles all along the way.
