  • One of London's most popular family theatre shows is returning to the Haymarket Theatre.
  • Judith Kerr’s beloved children’s book, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, takes to the stage once again in this charming page-to-stage adaptation.
  • Produced by one of the biggest names in kids’ theatre, London-based Nick Brooke Ltd. promise to put on a heartwarming show that certainly does justice to the much-loved original storybook.

One of the most-loved illustrated children’s books of all time, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, was expertly adapted by Nick Brooke Ltd. in 2008 and became an understandably instant hit with families across London and beyond.

Now back in London by popular demand after acclaimed worldwide tours, this The Tiger Who Came to Tea theatre show is ready to warm our hearts all over again.

Nick Brooke Limited produce the best London family shows in the UK, taking to the stage at London’s West End, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and even across the pond in Asia, Australia and the USA.

They turn some of the most popular books for toddlers and children into delightful live-on-stage performances, and The Tiger Who Came to Tea is no exception.

This Judith Kerr illustrated children’s book has been a staple in UK households since its initial publication in 1968.

It tells an unlikely but completely charming story of Sophie and her mother’s interrupted afternoon tea, when a tiger rings on their doorbell and joins them at the table!

With delightful illustrations and touchingly memorable words, both by Judith Kerr, The Tiger Who Came to Tea has been voted Britain’s best-loved picture book and it transfers to the stage remarkably well.

David Wood’s Olivier-nominated production at the Theatre Royal Haymarket features wonderful costumes (including a life-sized tiger), endearing sets and the same characters we all know and love.

Whether you missed it the first time around or have been waiting to hit the Haymarket for more, book your purrfect family treat now and get that nostalgia flowing.
