What is A Number about?

The synopsis of the play states that every parent in the world makes mistakes, and Salter (the character played by Lennie James) makes a lot of them. His only child, after 35 years, realises that he is not alone.

The play at the West End is a drama all about the cost of starting again.

Performances will be at an all-time high as the audience will be treated by some of the best actors in the industry. In the story, Salter is challenged by a dilemma; a number of clones of his son, Bernard, all have different personalities.

The play was last performed by Roger Allam and Colin Morgan at the Bridge. Now, Lyndsey Turner adds this show to her list of other Churchill productions like 'Far Away'.

The theme of the play is the welfare of children while also portraying parental abuse and sibling rivalries. The original Royal Court run of the show starred Michael Gambon and Daniel Craig.
