Belton House
Located in Belton parish near Grantham, Belton House is a historic seventeenth-century country house.
Although the house and the indoor play area remains closed, the parkland, gardens, and popular outdoor play area are now open, making Belton the perfect destination for your family to benefit from some fresh air whilst enjoying the rolling grounds of a classic English country-house estate.
Parking? Parking is free provided you've bought an admission ticket or have a valid National Trust membership card. Use the following: NG32 2LW.

Food? Picnics welcome, otherwise Stables Restaurant offers a takeaway service.

Easton Walled Gardens
Five miles south of Grantham, Lincolnshire's 'lost garden' has been 450 years in the making, and is perfect for guests of all ages, from tiny tots to grandparents. There are several kinds of gardens, so there's enough variety to keep your day busy.

An eighteenth-century watermill that has been producing flour for over 1000 years (which can be bought at their shop), the mill is 14 miles from Grantham on the River Slea. Catch the mill in operation on particular days and watch the flour being made with your kids!

Burghley House
Burghley House is historic grandeur at its best. A sixteenth-century Elizabethan house located only 30 minutes from Grantham, Burghley also boasts beautiful gardens and parkland with sweeping vistas, tranquil lake walks and sculpture garden fun.
Parking? This historic house is located near Stamford, Lincolnshire, and 30 minutes drive from Grantham. Parking is available onsite.
Cost? £9 children, £17 adults. Note that the popular parklands are open with no admission fees or parking charges, and dogs on leads are allowed. Perfect free family fun!
Food? The Orangery Restaurant is open Wednesday to Sunday, and The Shed is open in the parklands for takeaway refreshments.
Toilets? Facilities in the house and gardens are all open.

Newly open, the ever-popular Ancaster Leisure Centre has heaps of attractions for your most intrepid, adventurous kids. Go-kart, play paintball, lose yourself in laser-tag, and more. Lincolnshire's biggest outdoor activity centre will get your family's adrenaline pumping and promises an action-packed day out.

A 25-minute drive from Grantham, Newark Treasure Trail is an ideal way to have socially-distanced fun with the family. Explore the town of Newark by following the trail, and solve the clues set around the town's buildings, marketplace, and monuments, starting at the twelfth-century castle, to discover the location of buried treasure.
