The sandbox game Minecraft was created by Markus Persson and developed by Majong Studios. Minecraft remains the best-selling game in history, with 140 million active players recorded monthly in 2021. The game was made public in 2009 and fully released in 2011.
Players enter a blocky 3D terrain where they can explore, collect resources, fight, craft things, and create various structures. You get to communicate and cooperate with other players by entering their worlds. You can also create a new world and invite players to experience your offerings.
Nobody likes their Minecraft world to have a boring name. After all, you will spend hours creating in it, exploring it, and (all being well) dodging enemies like Creepers that populate it.
Some people like to name their world after the seed they use if they find the perfect one to build in. Others might want an exciting name to entice other players to join the new world.
Your world name can also match the theme of what you want to do in your new world. You can play in the Survival, Creative, Adventure, and Hardcore modes.
When you start the game, you get to create and name your new world and hit the 'Play' button. To rename your world, click the 'rename' button at the bottom left of your screen.
Type your new name in the dialogue box, click Rename, and you are done. To change the world color, you must work with NBT Explorer and know the code and font for the color you want.
