Because of their excellent size, remarkable sense of smell, and endurance, Vizslas were formerly humankind's best hunting companions. Nonetheless, these dogs are increasingly seen cuddling up on beds and sofas with their human companions, chasing sticks and birds throughout the park, and getting upset by squirrels.

Vizslas are one of the most popular breeds, ranking 31st out of 193 with the American Kennel Club.

The male Vizsla dog will begin by smelling the vulva of the female dog. After that, the male Vizsla dog will mount the female Vizsla, and begin the mating process.

Following this, the dogs will develop a breeding connection and the female dog will get pregnant. After the gestation period of around 61-70 days is complete, the female Vizsla dog gives birth to a litter of around 7-8 Vizsla puppies.

The golden rust coat of this dog breed is extremely soft.

Field conditioned coats, brawny or sinewy muscular condition, and honorable scars signifying a working and hunting dog are never to be punished in this dog. Vizsla's nails, eyes, and nose are remarkable in that they blend in with the coat/fur in terms of color.

How many pounds of food per month does a Vizsla go through?

Adult Vizslas have two meals every day, which amounts to around 25-30 lb food each month. When Vizsla pups are small, you can give them 3-4 meals per day, then reduce them to three meals per day as these active dogs become bigger.

These high energy dogs should be consuming two meals every day by the time they are a year old. This equates to about 25-30 pounds of food every month.

How to train a Vizsla?

Create a training area for Vizsla pups: make a special area for your dog before you bring them home. Make certain that the outside space is confined so that these pet dogs cannot escape. Part of the training process is getting students to realize and own their environment.

All the while, call the dog by its name: train your pet dog to respond to every request by calling them by name. Reward the pet dog when they glance up when their name is called! They'll figure out what their name is in no time.
