Character Details Of Phineas And Ferb

There are many interesting and colorful characters that make up the world of 'Phineas And Ferb'.

The series' protagonist is Phineas Flynn, who is voiced by Vincent Martella. He has red hair and a distinctive, triangular-shaped head.

Every episode's plot features Phineas and his stepbrother Ferb Fletcher. The series centers on Phineas' efforts to beat summer holiday boredom by coming up with new and exciting things to invent every day. He is joined by his brother Ferb and the rest of the neighborhood kids, like Isabella, Baljeet, and Buford.

They always come up with extravagant, over-the-top inventions that seem to infuriate their sister, Candace Flynn, to no end. Phineas has several signature catchphrases that he uses in almost every episode, like, "Hey Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today! ", "Hey, where's Perry?

"and "Oh, there you are, Perry! ".

Ferb Fletcher, who is voiced by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, is a quiet young person who leaves all the talking to Phineas. He is Phineas's British stepbrother, who has green hair and a rectangular head.

Like his brother, he is brilliant. Phineas and Ferb usually cook up elaborate inventions or engage in other absurd activities in the primary plot of every episode.

Ferb frequently sings rather than talks, yet his one-liners are short and to the point. The character of Ferb is named after a close friend of the show's producers who was, like the character, very handy with his tools and kept to himself.

Candace Flynn, voiced by Ashley Tisdale, is Phineas's older sister and Ferb's stepsister. She is tall and slender and has red hair like Phineas and her mother.

Candace serves as the main antagonist in every episode's primary plot, as she schemes to get her brothers in trouble by showing their outlandish inventions to their mother.

However, by the time she can drag her mother there, the invention has seemingly vanished into thin air, thanks to the antics of Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Perry the Platypus. This leaves Candance dumbfounded, and she is ultimately not able to prove anything to her mother in the end, who believes that Candace is going crazy.

Lawrence and Linda Flynn-Fletcher are the parents of Phineas, Ferb, and Candace. Lawrence and Ferb moved to Danville from England to become part of the family. Both are usually unaware of their boys' harebrained schemes, with Linda completely ignorant of their actions and Lawrence indifferent. He even helps the boys out in some cases.

Perry the Platypus, the unassuming pet platypus of the Flynn Fletcher family, is the main protagonist for every episode's secondary plot. Assuming the cover of a family pet, this turquoise platypus is actually Agent P, a secret agent working with O.W.C.A.

(Organization Without A Cool Acronym) to defeat evil scientist Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

He usually disappears at the beginning of each episode, and returns towards the end, after the boys' invention for the day has disappeared or been dismantled inadvertently by Dr. Doofenshmirtz's evil invention. A running gag in the show is Dr. Doofenshmirtz failing to recognize Perry without his agent's hat, believing that he is just an ordinary platypus.

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, voiced by series creator Dan Povernmire, is an 'evil scientist' and Agent P's arch-nemesis. He is not inherently evil, rather, just goofy, and keeps coming up with various inventions or '-inators' that will help him destroy or take over the tri-state area.

His lab/home, Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporation, has its own jingle that plays whenever it appears on the screen. Agent P always manages to thwart Doofenshmirtz's plan at the end, and his '-inator' of the day tends to destroy or somehow get rid of Phineas and Ferb's invention.

His catchphrase is, "Curse you, Perry the Platypus!"

which he utters as Perry escapes after foiling his plan. He has a teenage daughter Vanessa with his ex-wife, whom he adores and showers with love.

Isabella Garcia-Shapiro is one of the neighborhood kids and a close friend of Phineas and Ferb. She often joins the boys on their adventures, uttering her catchphrase, "Whatcha doing?".

She also has a massive crush on Phineas, which he is entirely unaware of. She is a sweet, helpful girl but can be fierce when the situation demands so. She is the leader of the Fireside Girls, a troop similar to the girl scouts.

Baljeet Tjinder is another one of Phineas and Ferb's friends. He is brilliant, like the two brothers, and helps them in whatever absurd invention or scheme they have planned for the day. He is from India. Baljeet is often shown interacting with Buford, the local bully, and his frenemy.

Though Buford van Stomm is touted to be the neighborhood bully, he is just a tough guy with a soft heart. He has a strong yet complicated relationship with Baljeet, and the two are good friends in their own way.

Phineas invites him to take part in their activities to keep him out of trouble, and he reciprocates by lending them his strength when building all sorts of machines. He is also shown to be a very loyal friend.

Major Monogram, who is voiced by series creator Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, is the leader of O.W.C.A., which recruits pets as secret agents. He appears in almost every episode to brief Agent P on what Dr. Doofenshmirtz is up to for the day and instructs him to go and put a stop to his schemes.

Carl the Intern is Major Monogram's unpaid intern and assists him whenever the latter is briefing Perry. He is smart but quite careless and often gets in trouble with Major Monogram for his scatterbrainedness.

Stacy Hirano is Candace's best friend. Unlike Candace, she is interested in and sometimes even takes part in Phineas and Ferb's fun adventures. She also gets annoyed at Candace for hyper-focusing on trying to bust the boys when they are hanging out and trying to relax.

Jeremy Johnson is Candace's long-time crush, who later becomes her boyfriend. He is a cool guy who plays in a band and works at Slushy Burger for his summer job.

Phineas And Ferb Writers Profile

'Phineas And Ferb' was created by Jeff "Swampy" Marsh and Dan Povenmire. The two previously worked on 'The Simpsons' and 'Rocko's Modern Life'.

They came up with the concept of 'Phineas And Ferb' when Povenmire sketched a boy with a triangular head on a napkin. The two pitched the idea of the show to various networks for almost 16 years until it was picked up by the Disney Channel and its related channels.

The two creators wrote and produced a song for the series' second episode, which Disney executives absolutely loved. They then asked them to continue writing and including an original song for every episode.

The music direction of 'Phineas And Ferb', with its short, quirky songs, has helped the cartoon stand apart from the rest in its time. Under the creator's guidance, the cartoon has won many television arts awards for its brilliant storyboarding, writing, character design, sound editing, and more.

Influence Of Phineas And Ferb On Kids

'Phineas And Ferb' is undoubtedly one of the most-loved cartoons put out by Disney Channel to date. The show is known for its humor, over-the-top inventions, and catchy songs.

It is a light-hearted yet extremely enjoyable cartoon that is perfect for kids of all ages - and even adults - to enjoy.

The two creators wanted to put out the message that children have untapped potential and are always smarter than people give them credit for. This message is portrayed by the storyline of Phineas and Ferb coming up with creative inventions to occupy themselves every single day during their summer break, which goes unnoticed by their mother.
