'National Treasure' is a movie based on the attempts of Benjamin Gates to steal the declaration and find the treasure before his counterpart Ian Howe.

Even though the movie is a dramatic fiction, the events are inspired from the true story of Operation Yewtree. The movie was produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Jon Turteltaub.
