Sabbath is a day for Jews to rest and worship.

The Jewish calendar counts days from sunset to sunset. The Shabbat day begins on the evening of Friday.

On this day, spiritual Jews keep in mind the biblical story of the creation of the heavens and the earth in six days and a future savior Age. According to Jewish law, Shabbat is observed after a few minutes before sunset on Friday evening to the three stars' appearance on Saturday night.

Sabbath rest is observed by lighting the candles and reciting a blessing, and by eating three festival meals.

Shabbat rest could be a festive day on which Jews exercise their freedom from the regular labor of the standard of living. It offers a chance to ponder the non-secular aspects of life and to spend time with family.

There are a lot of religious Sabbath resting quotes that we have collected for you. Want to know more about the Jewish faith and Sabbath? Then you should have a look at these best Sabbath quotes. If you like these quotes, then you should also read our Hanukkah quotes and Torah quotes.
