Lab Pointer facts such as it is a mixture of a Labrador and English Pointer dog breed.

The Lab Pointer is a mixed dog breed. The species is a mix between pure breeds Labrador Retriever and English Pointer.

The Labrador Retriever-Pointer mix is a medium-sized dog and is considered one of the most energetic, loyal, and intelligent dogs to have. The Lab Pointer puppies inherit the best of qualities from both the parent breeds and are a treat to have in human homes.

The Labrador Pointer is also known as a Pointerdor. The temperament of the Lab Pointer mix designer dog is loyal, intelligent, and active with an ever-pleasing personality.

Training a Lab Pointer also doesn't take much effort as these dogs are easily trained.

The Lab Pointer is a fairly low-maintenance dog but is known to be full of energy. The dogs need constant exercise to keep their energy level satisfied.

So, if you are into exercise, then keeping this breed type will be the best decision for you. As the breed needs a lot of exercise and training in the outdoor areas, keeping the dogs cooped up in a small apartment is not recommended.

However, there are few health issues that have been pushed down from the Pointer breed and the Labrador breed to the Lab Pointer puppy. Health problems like ear infections and joint issues have plagued these species for a long time now.

All dog breeds are vetted by the American Kennel Club to determine the breed standard. The Labrador Retriever was recognized as a dog breed by the AKC in 1917, while the English Pointer was given the status of a dog breed in 1878.

However, there is no information on the inclusion of the Lab Pointer mix in the registry of the American Kennel Club as it is a designer breed.
