Fun Monoclonius Facts For Kids
The Monoclonius was found to have lived during the Late Cretaceous upper layers of the Judith River Formation in Montana, United States. The Monoclonius roamed the Earth during the Late Cretaceous period around 75 million years ago.
The habitat of the Monoclonius crassus was primarily terrestrial in nature with a vast variety of tundra, taigas, temperate deciduous forests, tropical rainforests, grasslands, and deserts. The adult Monoclonius was a very large dinosaur with big characteristic features. It roamed the earth during the early ceratopsian period.
They had huge flat feet with small nails. This species had a huge skull that was very heavy and was often held very close to the ground.
Its skull was 6 ft (1.8 m) long, where the head was measured from beak to frill. It even had prominent strong horns. This species had a four-horned skull.
The head had a small frill on it with a single upward pointed nose horn and two smaller horns over the eyes. The diet of the Monoclonius dinosaurs was primarily a combination of leaves, seeds, plants, and twigs.

Fun Zephyrosaurus Facts For Kids
The Zephyrosaurus which means 'westward wind lizard' is a dinosaur from the genus of Orodromine ornithischian dinosaurs. It is closely related to the Orodromeus.
This dinosaur was discovered in the Aptian-Albian-age Lower Cretaceous Cloverly Formation of Carbon County, Montana, USA. The Zephyrosaurus schaffi, also known as the westward wind lizard, became extinct sometime during the Late Cretaceous period, nearly 110-120 million years ago. It is assumed that these animals were burrowing animals, which means they dug the earth to find food.
Among other distinctive characteristics of these dinosaurs, it is said to have a steep face and a raised knob on the upper jaw. The typical Zephyrosaurus diet primarily consisted of plants and seeds.

Fun Cerasinops Facts For Kids
The Cerasinops was named and described by Chinnery Horner and lived in the Campanian age during the Late Cretaceous period. It has been placed as a basal member of Neoceratopia, but its description is variable; it is explicitly assigned to the Leptoceratopsidae group, but it is considered a sister taxon to Leptoceratopsidae, or as a Neoceratopsian in general.
The Cerasinops lived in terrestrial habitats such as forests, grasslands, deserts, shorelines, and wetlands, which means it had a very vast habitat. Cerasinops fossils have been found in regions of Asia and North America.
The Cerasinops hodgskissi was a large group of herbivorous dinosaurs. These dinosaurs are known for their parrot-like beak fossils and this beak is a distinguishing factor of this dinosaur.
They are called Cerasinops due to their facial structure which resembles a parrot-like beak. The term Cerasinops means 'cherry face' or 'horned faced' in Ancient Greek.

Fun Lukousaurus Facts For Kids
The Lukousaurus dinosaur inhabited Asia. This dinosaur's range was primarily found in thick forests and around water bodies.
These dinosaurs' remains were mostly found in Yunnan in China. The Lukousaurus was 6.6 ft (2 m) in length and 3.5 ft (1.1 m) in height, and based on this information, this species is almost nine times smaller than the average Huaxiaosaurus aigahtens. These dinosaurs are known to be quite aggressive in nature.
They had a temper that could be easily triggered at the sight of prey. They would aggressively chase their prey and gobble it down in no additional time. The Lukousaurus yini lived during the Early Jurassic period in the Hettangian-Sinemurian age.
This period lasted for a fairly long time. A Lukousaurus yini skeleton was discovered in regions of China, Yunnan Province, in the Lower Kufeng Formation.

Fun Borealosaurus Facts For Kids
The Borealosaurus is a genus of Titanosaurian sauropod dinosaurs. This Borealosaurus wimani originated during the Early Cretaceous period and lived until the early part of the Late Cretaceous period. These dinosaurs originated in Province China (Acta Geologica).
The Borealosaurus wimani lived in a range of plains and grasslands. They were endemic to northern China. The average Borealosaurus height was nearly 20 times larger than that of a Triceraraptor.
This dinosaur was 59 ft (18 m) tall. These dinosaurs are called Borealosaurus, which means 'lizard of the north winds'. This dinosaur possibly resembled a lizard and was found in the northern regions of China.

Fun Alaskacephale Facts For Kids
The dinosaur Alaskacephale gangloffi was actually a pachycephalosaurid dinosaur and it belonged to the order Dinosauria. It lived in Alaska in the Late Campanian to Maastrichtian stages of the Late Cretaceous period, millions of years ago. The remains of the Alaskacephale gangloffi were found in Alaska.
The skeleton that was discovered was incomplete and still hangs in the New Mexico Museum. The Alaskacephale gangloffi lived from 80 million years to 70 million years ago. These dinosaurs lived during the Late Cretaceous period.
