Jagdterrier are purebred dogs that are also known as German hunt terrier for their high energy level and superior hunting instincts. They are also known as hunting terrier, German hunt Jagdterrier and Deutscher Jagdterrier.

During hunts, the German Jagdterrier dogs are used to drive rabbits and wild boar towards the waiting hunters. They exhibit very high intelligence levels, and very active.

They usually prey on foxes, squirrels, or raccoons. Deutscher Jagdterrier dogs get along well with humans as well as other dogs, making them ideal pets. Jagdterrier temperament around humans is extremely friendly but they require exercise every day to utilize their energy reserves and ensure better health.
